So there wont be a 68 article as for some reason, I put the same guys up that were inducted in 67, but this time Curt didn't get voted in... smh
I wonder how drunk I was when I did that class?
This time the unanimous vote went to Mantle and Mays, two of the greats.
Mickey only had two of his seasons pre HOFFBL so most of his glory was here in the most amazing baseball league EVA
A 14x All Star the guy was a legend on the field for the NYY from the beginning of his career till it's end in 1969 As much of a juggernaut as the Yankees were back then, surprisingly enough he only had 4 WS with them. He was also an amazing 9x gold glove winner. I don't think I have ever seen anyone come close to that total. He is just 1 of two players to ever hit 600 HRs in the league. Not sure we'll ever see that happen again. He is still in the top 25 all time in 5 of the 9 tracked categories.
Like Mantle, Mays only had 2 seasons pre HOFFBL, though it looks like he was injured for most of the 52 season so, not much of his career stats are distorted. Willie was a 12x All Star, but during his time with the Giants, the World Series escaped his amazing grasp, with never winning a ring. He was selected two times for the gold glove in centerfield. Like Mantle, he is also still in 6 of the 9 top 25 categories.
