Braves 7/20
The Braves cooled off a tad this last week with losing three games out of the eight played. The low light was dropping one to the Pirates. Greg Maddux continues to defy time and now leads all of Baseball with 17 wins. Just outstanding that a 41 year old is gonna finish his career with likely a twenty win season.
With this pitching, are the Brave the team of destiny to give Maddux one more ring? They are the first team to hit 70 wins on this season, riding their pitching and defense. At the plate they are seventh in the league in putting the ball out of the park, which is helping them win some games they would not normally win.
Worth noting is Catcher M Ojeda was out for each of the three losses. The Colorado series, the Braves only one one of the three, two of the games went into extra innings and the combined score was 5 runs for the braves, seven for the Rockies
