Disaster narrowly averted, the Braves finally managed to win some games, and it included a sweep of the second place Phillies to give them some breathing room. However, the followed that up splitting a four game series against the woeful Brewers.
The continued Jeckel and Hyde of this team has probably shaved years off the skippers health.
The gem of the week was the three oh shutout, where Rupe out pitched Sheets in route to his 16th win. Sheets got screwed by his D as they gave up two unearned runs via a couple errors.
The low light was high priced FA RA Dickey giving up his 7th loss on the season, and falling to 3 – 7 on the season while facing the Brew Crew.
All in all it was an OK week as the Braves rattled off five wins, before they dropped the last two games of the week to finish 5 and 2 on the week.
