Pete: Hey Braves fans, it's Skip and Pete here with another wrap up for the end of August in Braves baseball.
Since August 6th, the Braves have been 16-6 to finish the month of August still with the best record in baseball and a commanding 12 game lead in the East.
Even with the best record, their magic number is still at 19 to clinch because of how amazing the Philly's are playing with the 4th best record in the NL and 6th best in the majors.
Reggie has been rolling and now is in command for most dingers in the NL, and still has the possibility to get another 40 / 40 season, though it is looking unlikely.
Tom Terrific still is the number 1 win guy in the NL, and has already eclipsed a 20 win season, making it the 6th time in his career he has, and the first back to back seasons for him since he had 3 straight 74-76
Corbett seems determined to make it 3 straight being the Rolaids reliever of the year, and already has 40 saves on the season. The guys just been on fire, though some have been a tad worried how much work he has been getting.
Richie's been having a strong come back in homer production, after taking May and June off, he also has been smacking them deep and through July and August, and has 27 on the year.
