Well baseball fans, it is I Carnac here on your weekly radio show to bring you predictions and prognostications with fall upon us, and playoff fever is starting to swell... where or where do we go from here
3 divisions are wrapped up, StL takes the NL Central, LAD takes the NL west and Seattle still has the AL west, though I'm sure that will not change any more than it did from our last broadcast.
the NL and AL east are still fighting it out, though for the mets and the red sox, the window of opportunity closes day by day, like the Hooters would say.
The real battle is still the AL Central, with the twinkies rallying from 6 back a couple months ago to still owning the division. can they hold of the Royals? the brew crew and tigers have faded further and further back. Now it's all up to those born in the deity of god versus duplicate child's for who will bounce into the playoffs. As well as the two teams have played, the one that comes in second now has an outside chance of taking out the red sox should they falter down the stretch and prove to have no challenge for the Yankees.
In the NL, all the Mets need is a win or a Houston lose to make sure they propel to the playoffs. Carnec the Magnificent predicts that Houston nor Montreal will make the playoffs.
Seattle was the first team to reach 100 wins and the Braves were the first to break the 100 win mark this year.
