Hats off to Seattle, they won the series 4-2 over the Braves. in 1 run games the series was 2-2 but in blowouts, Seattle took both with a combined 15-6 score.
Skip said "our boys played their asses off in both the NL pennant series and came in to the WS flat and tierd. No excuse, I made some mistakes setting up our lineups, and our loss is as much my fault as it is how amazing Seattle played all year. All I can say is while we prolly would have still lost, I should have had the boys in a better position to not have."
The bright spot is the Braves look like they will have a chance to make it back in the coming years, as they do have some of the best guns to take the mound, and have a couple young gun phenoms waiting in the wing with MaddUx and Smoltz.
End result, congrats to the "small town" of seattle. Maybe one day a software company will put them on the map, but that seems to be a story for the 90's
