Well Braves fans, these are the players that have been so awesome that fans around the country have placed them in the mid summer classic pitting the best from the NL vs the best from the AL
the Braves the are being called to try and defeat the scum of the AL are....
SP John Fulgham
John is 10-3 on the season with a 2.03 ERA with 17 starts. This is John's first ever all star selection, even the year he won the Cy Young, he didn't get selected.
SP John Matlack
This is the 3rd time John has made the allstar team, all as a member of the Braves. this season John is again pitching like he is hell bent on getting to 200 wins this year. He is also on pace to get his 2nd 20 win season.
Currently John is 11-3 on the season. He need just a scant 3 more wins to join the rare air group of 200 wins.
Warren Brusstar, Reliever
This is warrens first ever all star game. Set up guys rarely get the recognition they deserve, but Warren has been amazing for over a decade and this year even more so.
His 1.35 ERA over 33 appearances has allowed the Braves to hold on and win games that in the hands of lesser men would have ended in defeat.
Doug Corbett, Closer
In what could be a Braves record, Doug appears in his 6th All Star and his 3rd straight. Doug is the wish of every team, to have someone that year after year, just comes out and closes out a game. With 413 saves on his career, the youngster is 6th all time on the save list.
Gary Roenicke, Leftfield
Gary is making his 2nd appearance in the all star game, and doing it in back to back years. Over the last couple seasons Gary has really found his swing, and has been giving away baseballs to the fans in the outfield on a regular bases.
For the season Gary is batting .273 and has given away 21 souvenirs to lucky fans
