I feel like ATL is threatened. Not everyone gets dealt Smoltz and Maddux. Some of us actually have to build what we have. I took over a franchise that had never had a winning season. Ever.

I think people like to focus on teams who build new winners not the teams that built them and slightly coast like myself or you. how does a 2x 100 win team that never saw post season get more votes over a team that was an 80 game winner last year and won 116 this season? they are delusional.

If they voted for MIL, I would have no issues with that but there is no way Florida did a better job than me this season.
not even close.

Anyone that thinks FLA did better than Play is smoking crack Matt did a good job. Dont need to take away from what he did. not saying he didn't do a good job, saying play did better.

No clue. I know we got rid of this for awhile cause egos and feelings were being hurt lol Id rather win a WS then win manager if the year. Who cares what you yahoos think? Lol, timing of the vote is important too. Before or after the playoffs are completed. Does “Manager of the year” earn your vote by building a team that wins the most regular season games(do you factors in - win differential?) or Improving your year over year record or Having a team that is positioned to win championship. 3 VERY different things in my opinion.

On a SERIOUS note, outside if any points go with it, I really don't give a shit, although it is nice to be recognized. I am very happy with the job I've done in Florida, that after forever playing this game, I'm finally starting to figure out to a degree what it takes to win, even if we haven't made the playoffs yet. It's kind of felt like Brian has pointed at me a few times in this thread, but again, don't give a shit. He's had a cake walk in this division for a while, which I'm sure he enjoyed, but he won't have that going forward. Even if we do a soft re-set, we aren't going anywhere. If people voted for me because they recognize what I've done and recognize that when I could have sold I didn't because I still felt like there was a shot, right before I went on a massive winning streak post AS break, that's awesome. My guess is the vote for me was more of a vote against CHC and MIL, which is also cool, lol.

You had a great team. Chc did more with less and that is why I voted for him

Who cares lmao. I don't think I've ever won this, there's always someone who had an insane wins total or turned around a bad team, guys who are consistently very good never get the love.

I coasted to a 119 win season after winning 124 last year. You coasted too, that's all. As for the east being easy... your 102 wins would have won the East once since 1980 other than the season I tanked for Smoltz.

oops noticed I clicked FLA instead of CHC Florida did a great job, but Chicago won 116 with a 70 million dollar payroll. That's manager of the year stuff.

what HF did was no slouching either
league definitely has some super teams. It's probably why my half rotation didn't do shit.

If you actually exported and took care of your team. You qualify to me as manager of the year as far as I see it. Acting like an adult earns bonus points.
