In no world does anyone consider Jon Jay a BR hitter. Can we not go a common sense override? Do you guys even WATCH baseball?

Jon Jay better range in CF? No idea how that is determined and don't want to ask to be ignored again. Also don't remember him striking out much. Definitely not injury prone. David Freese never played SS and was a solid defender at 3B Tommy Pham played more CF than RF and was a good defender in CF and LF Matt Adams was never a Catcher Paul Goldschmidt never played the OF Allen Craig was an average OF. Definitely not an A range at either spot. I cant edit 2ndary positions, I have been manually taking them out. If you downloaded the file you would see Paul doesn't have outfield still. Thought I posted it, but I might have just told Chris, I forget.

since I can see the exact rating in the input and output files, I know the program is gonna work. Not sure how I corrupted the input, but I did. almost done with the program then I'll rerun everything from scratch, after I clean up the draftee input file The ratings dont make sense. 10 ARs are not made up of ratings that would give a 10 AR. So its definitely a bug of some sort. I have complete confidence in you until you show that I shouldnt. I think part of it is when a certain rating, like hits, is so good, it will end up being 0, but is factored into AR, and it'll be 10

The OOTP5 CSV files, when you import and export ratings, only has attributes for the primary position. My assumption is that all other ratings are imbedded in the players.dat file, but the OOTP CSV files are limited in what they edit. It's frustrating, but that's what we got.
In the future, primary position, speed, stealing, potential batting/pitching ratings will all be automated in SECONDS... However, all secondary positions + character ratings will need to be edited manually. Not great, but not bad. It'll never be perfect.
Once we tweak the program in prep for 2007, we'll post the guidelines for griping in the future, and in the new league.
After further thought, I decided to bring down Jay to Good in Hits. I think Break and Trevor should get a freebie Brilliant increase (Pedroia and Verlander, respectively).

so the batters general stuff will be done toinght range position (only haf OF arm and C arm to do), hometown height weight etc, their ratings will only take 30-45 minutes more to finish, however that likely will not be tonight. 5 am is only 8.25 hrs away... And for reference, this is the only post in this thread that you mention anything about positions. And that's not exactly clear on how it was input. But yeah, several times in the thread 👌 never said I was the one to say it now did I? Others have said it as Chris pointed it out elsewhere. But OK. love you man

But it makes sense. If pedroia was brilliant hits, I would have considered him at #1 over Beltre.

Making a franchise selection better is one thing but retroactively making a draft pick better is pretty questionable. I get the sentiment but geez.

The Pedroia thing is a tough sell for me
Can Break and me renegotiate our deal because I would’ve wanted more! The reality is I don’t even get to pick him if that was the case.

Cano had a .311 average over 10 seasons(2006 to 2014)
Pedroia had a .309 average for only 5 years
Cano should get the brilliant boost as well if we doing this
