Its not about that. Its the stick in the mud attitude so many GABLers have This. It's all about "tradition" and bullshit.

Couple of things.............first off, despite not playing in GABL for quite some time, I resent all the negativity. The so called "tradition" and bullshit...............that's how we started that league, and invited GM's that we thought were a fit with what we were trying to do. All of the "non-tradition" and BULLSHIT is essentially why I lost interest. Now, for the issue at hand........while I PERSONALLY love the idea, I'm going to abstain from voting. I don't LOVE it enough to lose GM's, if people are thinking about quitting over it. I can make arguments for both sides. So there you go......an original GABL'er who's not voting for change and evidently ISN'T part of the faction anymore.

It's frustrating that people are so against anything "new".

i don't think that's why people are against it. the whole rewards system is new to a lot of guys here and i haven't heard any complaints about it. i just think that this, while kind of a cool concept, goes against the whole idea of what a sim league is.

It's frustrating that people are so against anything "new". Quite the conundrum for a "new" league actually.

It's clear that there isn't enough support to do the Franchise Player by DECADE. However, I still like the idea in some form. Please see next thread for another poll.

A sim league is what you make it. We could make it different. Or we could make it like every other one we've all been in. When people fight fun ideas for no other reason that it makes them uncomfortable or seems complex well that seems short sided.

Also wanting a aspect like this is really no different then wanting ur favorite team when a league starts.
Chris said that the draft files would still be strong at the top. Bad teams won't lose out at top talent they just will lose out on certain big names.

People fight ideas they don't like for the same reason you fight ideas they don't like. They have their own opinions. It's not because they are short sighted. You keep making it out like the ones against this idea are against fun and out to kill it just for that. Give me a break.

I see no plausible reason to say no to this other than laziness.

I see no plausible reason to say no to this other than laziness. Or just because they don't like the idea?

That's not a reason it's a statement with no backing.

No it doesn't. You need to give reasoning...
