How can we trade with teams like SD, Cincy honestly would be a good idea to form like a 3-5 gm panel to submit an offer to. Like why not lol just send offers to chris and I, I guess

Brian doesn’t even know who he is he's on the braves and set a recod last year for most steals by a guy with > 40 HR. Dont follow baseball much anymore but I still check out how the braves are doing Well, crap. Life goes on…

The final pool is posted.
Given the change to dozens of players, I need both teams to confirm AGAIN in order for this trade to go through. This gives either team the opportunity to back out if they so wish. If a team backs out, I expect there to not be any hard feelings.

You’re right about dozen of changes, especially at the top. It’s one thing for Acuna to get a Brilliant in hits, but the top pitchers all took hits too. I need to take a look at this deal in the morning and see if it still makes sense. It’s definitely my bad for thinking most of the changes had already been done.

The flow of all this is pretty lame.
Season ends a while ago. We have legit no idea on a class. Class takes forever after lotto. Now I make a trade. A trade in which the GM clarifies he is well aware of when the file is changing(Thursday). And where he confirms if things change he is still good with the trade. After negotiating several possible deals
Probably the only thing that’s gotten me excited here in a while is now void. After being accepted and double confirmed by the GM.

I will say I wholeheartedly tried to engage here. Tried to build a team. Posted more than most. Tried to trade. Make good fair trades. But it’s been a continue slap in the face to be here.
Thanks to all my bbs homies who took time and care to help me learn. Maybe I’ll be back for the restart but can’t commit time to this rn if this is how we operate

Eh, Royals GM should’ve double checked about the Acuña rating boost or just waited, but that thread is a clusterfuck. Brian chimes in, but ultimately Chris has final say. Hard to actually tell what is getting boosted, and what’s not.
I think it’s a weak to leave over this, but I guess Braz was looking for a reason. Oh well.

I'm so frustrated by this too. I read the same thread you guys did regarding the boosts for Acuna. Brian definitely made the argument that Acuna did not deserve a brilliant in hits, but he also said he was going to boost a couple of top players, so whatever, that's fine. I was under that impression because he posted an updated file in the middle of the Acuna discussion, which apparently was just for dupes but created confusion about whether the updates were made to Acuna or not. Both of the GMs who I was talking with about trading the top pick both PMed me Tuesday night to say the final file was up (Braz was one of them, I've got reciepts)...so it's not just me who was confused.
I can handle Acuna getting his Brilliant. But then I woke up this morning to see a bomb went off in the pool. Acuna now has Average loyalty! I don't know how many times Brian and Chris said that the guys who get the artificial boost would be minimal loyalty. Half of the gripes thread is about this. I confirmed this in both the threads and messaging with Brian (more receipts). Un-fucking-believable! How am I supposed to pass up on a boosted Acuna who I actually have a chance to extend?!?!
Finally, both Cease and Rasmussen got nerfed in the final file, which are the Brilliant guys likely available to me at the 4th pick.
So, since I made this trade I found out that Acuna was indeed going to get a Brilliant hits rating, his loyalty is also going to get boosted, and the pitchers available at the 4th pick both got nerfed. I so badly want to honor this trade because that's how I operate, but this is bullshit. So much confusion and backtracking from the commishes on this one.
Here's the deal...I can't pass up on a somewhat loyal, boosted Acuna...can't do it. Shame on me for that, I suppose. If he somehow goes back to minimal loyalty, though, I would honor the deal. I'll let the commmishes sort this shit out.
Finally, I want to apologize to Braz...he negotiated in good faith and I liked the deal we made. I hope he stays.

Dont trade before the draft is set..this is dumb. I agree with one caveat…draft time limits don’t start for 36 hours after file is posted. This negotiation took 2 days because there were four interested GMs. There’s always a push to start when the file is posted, limiting anyone shopping the GM with the first pick.
