I always had a hunch on this and I was right. A few people over time have posted that keeping shitty scrubs could take the bad PD's away from better players, but I never bought into that train of thought. It's completely luck of the draw and the number of players on one's roster doesn't have any effect on the odds. That's all mental.

That's the difference between you and me when it comes to developing spects. You wanna fill out lineups and act like a minor league manager in that regard. I wanna gain an edge here, so I use the minors to teach my hitters as many new positions as possible. I could care less about anything else. Versatility is huge in baseball and positions are so easy to teach. Granted some like 1B and LF are easier to learn than SS and catcher, but I always go all out with getting everyone to play the whole infield and outfield ideally. I don't always like guys learning catcher because the catcher arms tend to come out D or E every time, which partially defeats the purpose of learning that particular position.
