Sounds like you just didn't hit send offers considering you have no other offers out and didn't sign anyone.

Players NEVER sign for less than 20 when they're offered 20.

Also bidding is only for if multiple 20+ offers happen. He signed.

Players NEVER sign for less than 20 when they're offered 20. Are you forgetting your own BBSBL league? I offered 21+ x 6 to Sutcliffe my first off-season there and he signed for 8 x 5. You even resimmed to make sure it picked up my offer because the messages were all messed up and i had no feedback from him even acknowledging my offer and he signed the exact same deal on re-sim. It's not automatic at all.

From 2/17/17... I was at 16 on carter and over 21x6 to sutcliffe. That's right, I offered more than 126 million to sutcliffe only to see him sign for 8 per and 40 total. He left over 86 million on the table to sign for less than a third of what I offered. I nearly tripled the AAV he took and more than tripled total dollars. I can't wait to see the reason why he did that. I've never seen that before. And Anderson was shocked over a couple mil! Someone said it's not that hard to sign a few guys to have a better record (in regards to the "tanking" rule). This would seem to suggest it's not that easy either. From 2/19/17... So... Sutcliffe picked Cincy again. I'm 100% sure KC's offer was in. Saturday 2/8/1983 : California: Free agent 2B Jim Morrison has been signed to a contract of $1,400,000 per year, for 3 years. Cincinnati: Free agent CF Jerry Turner has been signed to a contract of $1,000,000 per year, for 2 years. Chicago (A): Free agent 2B Jerry Royster has been signed to a contract of $300,000 per year, for 1 years. Sunday 2/9/1983 : Philadelphia: Free agent P Rick Honeycutt has been signed to a contract of $999,999 per year, for 5 years. Monday 2/10/1983 : Philadelphia: Free agent RF Reggie Jackson has been signed to a contract of $6,008,000 per year, for 1 years. Philadelphia: Free agent P Rick Camp has been signed to a contract of $6,125,000 per year, for 3 years. Tuesday 2/11/1983 : Chicago (N): Free agent C Gary Carter has been signed to a contract of $17,600,000 per year, for 5 years. Wednesday 2/12/1983 : Chicago (N): Free agent LF Bill North has been signed to a contract of $10,100,000 per year, for 1 years. California: Free agent C Gene Tenace has been signed to a contract of $3,500,000 per year, for 1 years. Chicago (N): Free agent C Rick Cerone has been signed to a contract of $630,000 per year, for 2 years. Cincinnati: Free agent P Bob Sykes has been signed to a contract of $4,250,000 per year, for 4 years. Thursday 2/13/1983 : Cincinnati: Free agent P Rick Sutcliffe has been signed to a contract of $8,000,000 per year, for 5 years. Friday 2/14/1983 : California: Free agent RF Gorman Thomas has been signed to a contract of $6,000,000 per year, for 3 years. Minnesota: Free agent P Dennis Lamp has been signed to a contract of $4,500,000 per year, for 3 years.

To break's point, I thought so too.
But LA clearly made the better offer (6 years) so I don't have any issues with this.
Because of the multiple 20M bid rule, I have to check each team's list of offers (after my own are submitted of course) and I saw your offer there Mark. And since Mark's offer was the only 20M offer, there were no automatic blind bid auctions to manage.
Hence why I said "Interesting..."

Chris knows, but I've never believed that 20 mil deal and put my money where my mouth was so to speak. I figured he'd have at least 1 20 mil offer, so I made a "just in case" offer in the hopes he received none or only 1. I didn't want to be the 2nd if he had only 1. I didn't expect to sign him because I thought he would have multiple and then it would go to "blind bidding" which is exactly what FA in-game already is, so that never made much sense to me. Let the game do what it's designed to do IMO.

odd, in all the testing done, a 20 mil deal was always automatic... seems the threshold must be a tad lower...

I'd consider lowering it to anything over 18 just for posterity.

I think multiple leagues burned me out way too quick. Too much time required.
