I don't know. I am a believer that just because things were ok at one point doesn't mean they are now. I don't think we should use retarded as a label, but I did for a long time. Having friends who had Downs children changes a person, especially when it's friends you care about who find it offensive. I don't think we should label things as "gay" when we don't like them , even though my kids seemed to do it all through high school. Times change. But I also think a whole lot of people "doth protest too much" over stupid shit. There's plenty of issues that are important. The tomahawk chop isn't one of them.

I think we can all be a little more sympathetic without being seen as weak. Im not offended by everything but id like us all to treat each other better and have more understanding for each orhers perspective. I think shale is actually coming from a good place but he hurts his position with how drastic he reacts. He is what he hates.

Shale do some research. The redskins have come under the most scrutiny from this and for years they have had overwhelming support from tribes all over who take pride in the team.

It is only recently that the ultra left young self entitled kids these days say it's offensive.

Most people are good regardless of race. Every race has pieces of crap among them though. Those are the people I couldn't care less about. The 'deplorables' as someone might say. Not even close to the majority.

Look up the origin of the word Redskin. It was not derogatory. Native Americans used it to describe themselves. Red-Skins and White-Skins need to share the land and such.

So whoever is stating that comparison is way off base. Does anyone think that the Redskins / Braves / Indians / Seminoles etc are making fun of Native Americans?

Now ask yourself if they named them the Washington N***** would they be making fun of black people?
