Turn the scouts off and make it 100% accurate while still using the game engine for development. Then every team has a level playing field. I hate 1-100 ratings regardless I like the 1-100, but you can adjust them to whatever you want. There's lots of options, including no ratings. |

If we’re going to consider changing versions I’d really prefer a much newer version than 8. And I know it seems like they are too complicated, they aren’t. I bought a few and stuggled and didn’t play them then I took a couple of hours to reach myself, they are so much better than what we use now. You wouldn’t think just having a back button would b a big deal, but it makes things so much quicker. Everything u possibly need is there and quick. And it’s it a $ thing, I think u can get 22 right now for $5. I’d love it if some/all of u guys just dropped $5 and spent a couple hours on it and give it a try. I've always been hesitant, just because I didn't want to have to learn the new game and all it's nuances. But at this point I'm bored with OOTP5 and need something new to keep me interested I think. The new versions are literally a million times better than 5. It's like the difference between an Atari system vs. the new systems. |

I’ve never paid money for OOTP, rather not start now, but if i had to do it I guess I’d rather do it with a league already in place. Main question is does it work on a MacBook? Right now I think I’m using some proxy thing to make 5 work (I think maybe from Dave Horn in HFTC?) but I’m definitely not technically savvy enough to set it up with a new version. I believe there are different downloads for each type of system if I'm not mistaken. It's $5 bro. I'll loan you the $5 if it's that deep. |

I just looked, there are downloads for MAC systems for the new versions. You Mac guys wouldn't have to go through all the extra trouble you do now.

Can you help me with this lol I have to send everything to Brian/Spence/play to get my lineups in cause I have a mac Basically you run the game inside Wineskin, so the game thinks it's running on a PC or something like that. But someone else set it up/walked me through it (really can't remember who), so I can't really offer any tech support beyond that. Edit: If you want to try DIY, you could look here: www.sandscomputing.com/wineskin-for-mac/ . But I'm pretty sure someone in the league has an OOTP 5-specific shortcut somewhere. |

I remember I hated the one ootp8 league I was in. It was too much. Had like 7 minors teams. Rule 5 all kinds of other stuff. People dont take care of thier minors now lol

I'm down for whatever...if the number of owners is right, I wouldn't mind a 1969 restart to get the Royals in there and skip a couple of rounds of expansion.

Turn on or off 40 man, turn on and off waivers in game, turn on or off rule 5, change the engine (back to v5 engine) or use the 6 engine (uses DIPS) |
