Not sure your history in the league, but Cleveland hasn’t won the division since 1969. 👀🤔👀

I think its okay to speak to the problems in the league. Lots of teams are not competitive year after year. Finances could be one of the issues. I see the bad teams really being more about inactivity. But why not try and fix both in the next league. I think some type of salary cap and luxury tax plus revenue sharing. Equal markets and FI and fan loyalty. Equal stadium capacities.

Just looked at two historically bad teams. 1 had 2 90 win seasons over the history of the league. The other had 0 90 win seasons.
Wild.

Maybe an incentive to win more consistently?

I do think the ability to trade for cash is unnecessary (I’m aware is being limited) It bails out the financially irresponsible owners. While I don’t agree with everything. I would be in favor of a luxury tax. X amount/percentage when you spend over 100 million, 110 million 120 million ext. No reason Cleveland (or anyone) can’t make an extended run here soon. Nice farm system and nice tradable assets. 55 million in revenue with a bad team and terrible fan interest. Sitting on 45 million in cash. Same market size as Pittsburg and they made 88 million last season. Timing when you bring up prospects to increase fan interest and make more money along the way. Once you’re in full on win mode don’t prematurely blow your load on high dollar FAs and bad contracts. Time you run! Wait for an opening when the big market, dominate teams start to run out of steam and get old. The is absolutely no reason not win a division one time in 40+ seasons. Big market, small market or no market.

so here's the thing, we all have different schedules and lives.
Saying people here sucks doesn't help when we constantly are having trouble finding people to cover all the teams.

I’m don’t think anyone sucks. There are many ways to play this game and run your team. I tend to be conservation which is a fault of my own. I’m just saying Don’t start a thread, unprovoked by stating “There are a lot of bad teams in this league. Just saying”. When you haven’t won anything in 40+ years and just blame your market size. Have some self awareness.

Goodness me... I try. Some of you know how I play 'decent' in my other leagues. This league's stats are so jacked up it is hard to grow from nothingness. Trading with you sharks is difficult, FAs don't like your team (top 4 FA pitchers for me this time), GOOD stat guys are not even average hitting and pitching against the league, etc. A guy like B.Anderson should have had a HOF career with his starting stats... but noooooooo for dgfred. I started in 1978, grew decently, had several 80+ win seasons, now going back downhill. Still trying tho.
