Well Braves Fans, they are leading the East again and again pitching is leading the charge, though unlike the 80's and early 90's there is some hitting to go along with the pitching.
One of the huge additions is Will Clark. Clark recently said he is so grateful for the chance to come to Atlanta as otherwise he would have never have a chance to get another WS ring as he knew early on in his playing in SF their GM only saw him as a piece of meat that would be traded away to the first suitor, the one that was the highest bidder.
Currently he is leading the league in hitting at .398 and is one of the best defensive 1B's men in the league.
Right now the Braves are just biding time while waiting for Smoltzie to heal. Even with him out the Braves are still the number 1 team when it comes to hits and Runs allowed.
Offensively they are 8th in hitting and have scored 2x as many runs as they have allowed.
