Feel like its 1 or 2 points a year until it reaches the appropriate range. Good is 6 to 8. So 1 ir 2 a year until 8. clark lost 3 points in one sim last season

Tampa Bay didn’t fix Palmers HR talent when it dropped from Brilliant to Good last season. While I agree that’s a large decrease, it needs to be expected. 7 is good-ish. he was brilliant when I signed him and ST though idk

This is day 13 of FA and pre spring training. You signed him to a FA contract with a talent of good in HRs I’m absolutely with you it is a large decrease, but needs to be expected to drop to good range sooner than later.

Usually they gradually go down tho. That would be frustrating this i just wasted 9 mil on two players who should have been at least at 8 hr for most of the season.

it would also almost never drop past 6 if avg, 8 if good after decrease naturally, unless they're old as fuck.

these are manual edits that change my entire FA. This should have been more openly discussed.

oh fuck off it is not normal to sign a guy with a 10 in hr who's avg, drop to 5 after one sim. He should gradually be going down to a 6.

these are fundamental changes to how ootp5 works that should have been far more transparent that they were being changed.

I want amnesty on Brian Hunter and Mike Piazza if there is no fix. This is a bait and switch on talent ratings.

My point was that Palmer was NOT given a contract at “Brilliant” the contract was given at “good” he should be slowly decreasing to 8, not instantly going to 7. it's fucked up and ruining players that had value as fillers. team parity just took a giant shit.

Brian can you only have this effect those under 24? Let the game play normal for guys over 25?

Brian can you only have this effect those under 24? Let the game play normal for guys over 25? one day I could add the logic, though it's cumbersome as age is in a different file. but no one under 25 should be affected by this, as that would mnean someone ignored a neg PD for a young stud.

holy crap the thing has been happening for 25+ seasons and now soimeone wants amnesty... oh don't even start gaslighting nobody has been dropping to exactly mid range of their talent from above their talent all in the same sim every year. This exact thing has happened to me and I have the Private Message to prove it. I’m 100% sure it happened with McGriff as well as someone else. The took bad PD - Brilliant to Good and dropped from +10 down to 7. After I fixed the Good to Brilliant he stayed at 7 until the following ST. The exact date of the PM was November 7th 2021. Here is the transcript. “ jmich24 Avatar jmich24 General Manager *** Nov 27, 2021 at 9:17pm Quote Hey jut checking in. I made those back to brilliant rating reversals and all three "number ratings" dropped from 10+ all down to exactly 7. Seems very odd. Can this be fixed? Reddington Avatar Reddington General Manager *** Nov 28, 2021 at 8:17am Quote they had already slid prior to the reversal. Just checked the old file. tends to happen once a play hits a certain age. Next season if they are still bril hr hitters they will pop back up after ST. No one is out to get you break 🤣

If it's something done yearly, can it be done before FA to avoid this issue in the future?
Sucks spending money on a guy then you don't get the guy you thought you were signing...
