November 15 is the opening day of firearm deer season in Michigan. As many as 750,000 deer hunters will hit the woods in hopes of harvesting a whitetail deer. There are an estimated 2 million whitetail deer in Michigan. It is tradition for many people/family/groups to head to “camp” for a week. Camp consists of many different things for different people. Trailer/ Wall Tent/Dry Cabin/Home/ Pole Barn/ Mega Mansion. My family has 320 acres of hunting land “up north” near Millersburg MI. It is beautiful country, huge majestic oak and spruce trees. After a three hour trip north, you will hit the front gate, it is a 10 minute ride into the woods. You will absolutely not see another human during your stay. Camp for me is more about spending time with my father more than anything else. Neither of us are big hunters and generally don’t shoot a deer very often, but enjoy our time together away from the real world and technology. We eat good, drink Manhattan's and smoke a little of the devils lettuce. Not uncommon to see a variety of animals from the woods including but not limited to black bear, coyote, red fox, grey fox, whitetail deer, Elk, bald Eagle, mink, wood duck, Canadian Goose, ect. While the Dodgers cruise to another division title wish me luck harvesting a Thirty-Point Buck.

Sounds amazing, also, Is this an invite? Good luck and enjoy your time with your father. Those memories are the most important.
