Well braves fans, management has let you down again.
Smoltz won the Cy Young again, Maddux won 20 and is 41 wins from #1 on the all time win list, but for the 3rd straight year the Braves have lost to the Dodgers in the LCS.
Smoltz and Maddux will retire as all time greats in HOFFBL but what they want more than anything is at least one more ring.
speaking of the duo, they are:
#1 and 2 all time ERA
#2 and 3 all time wins
#4 and 18 all time strike outs
#2 and 4 all time complete game shut outs. Which is insane since neither is even close to being on the top 25 list for complete games.
Maddux has 5 Cy Young's Smoltz has 6. But we all know I cheated and edited them to make sure the would be that great.
Is there anything that can be done to right the ship, or are these Braves destined to be only slightly better than the 90's-00 real life Braves? Time will tell, but one thing is for certain, the GM needs to get off his fuckin ass and do something, lest they waste another 100+ win season for nothing. The NL East will eventually be competitive again, and the team needs to do something besides make the post season and go home
