Reversals
- All posts for reversals must be a copy and paste from the Team Development page, including the date, then adding the level and position of the player, like so:
Monday 9/12/2003 : A C Francisco Cervilli's talent in taking walks drops...
- if you're posting a reversal that should be 5 points (each) because you already reversed the player that same season, then add something like "again" or "2nd time, 5 pts" or "reversed already this year" like so:
Monday 9/26/2003 : Act 1B Jose Offerman's talent in hitting homers drops... (previously reversed, 5 pts)
- save for minor formatting issues, if you don't list the date, player level, player position, obv. player name and ratings to be reversed, your post will be ignored - if you bump saying we missed it, your posts will still be ignored and the bump post is subject to deletion - we will assume all reversals require the full cost unless you tell us it's eligible for a 5 point reversal. If you do, then we can check the game date to be sure and avoid all of the hoopla as to whether or not the 5 point reversal is legit.
Fan Interest
- On 9/1, a "snapshot" of each team's Fan Interest rating will be taken, and any playoff-contending team as of 9/16 that point will have the Fan Interest rating "fixed" after the World Series, prior to File Flip. - A playoff-contending team means anyone who is technically not eliminated from the playoffs; this applies to both the division and wild card races. - If by 9/16, there are 14 games left, and a team is 14 games back, they will be considered to still be in playoff contention and eligible to have their Fan Interest frozen; if the team is 15 games back, they are eliminated from the playoffs and not eligible for the frozen Fan Interest rating.

Updated to include new rule on Fan Interest. I'll post a new Google Sheet doc tracking each team's FI on 9/1, 9/8, 9/16 and at the start of the playoffs.

I donno, I think any team that wins 90 no matter how far back they are should be exempt from losing FI, and the snapshot should prol start 8/1

I seem to remember after all those years losing to Spencers Giants that the biggest factor is was once the division was officially lost. FI would plummet.(exact time of year wouldn’t matter, depending on how dominate he was.)
The frustrating part was that I would win the wild cards many of those years.
…
Side question- my fan loyalty has remained the same after winning the division 4 years in a row and 5 of the last 6. 3 World Series appearance and 1 championship.
Any insights to how these jump?

We've been fixing fi for wildcard teams already. Question. If you are tanking does fi drop all season or just near the end of the season when it's obvious you suck.

I was just wondered if anyone had any insights to thresholds that make it move up or down. Even though I was competing for the division in the early 90s my fan loyalty dropped to Average in 95. I have been doing much better since and haven’t had an increase.

It makes a big difference on building budget along with Fan Interest. Maybe not now but an idea for a restart.

Just before I drafted Thomas I redid my stadium to gain the fan loyalty jumps that come with it.

I'd rather make market size fixed --- or the same --- for all teams, and allow loyalty to flex. While market (population) size do change, they all change together. All boats rise. Even today with NYC/NJ losing people and the south getting more people through migration, the NYC market is still freaking huge.
That's what I might explore in the new league. Make everyone "Good"

as to the 90 win, you're right, since we have 120-win teams often........ so i would change that to anyone within playoff contention or ends up with 90 or more wins. Either way, we need a snapshot as of 9/1
for testing purposes, this season, we can take a snap shot starting in the first sim in August, just to see what's happening. Then we can craft the new rules around it.
