Friday 4/22/2004: Los Angeles (N)'s Choate out for full season
LOS ANGELES (N) - Los Angeles (N)'s southpaw Randy Choate will not pitch again this year, suffering a serious injury in the game against Houston on Friday. Choate was rushed to an hospital near the ballpark, where doctors took x-rays. Those revealed the serious injury, Torn Ligament Elbow. Friday 4/22/2004: Moises Alou out for 5 weeks
LOS ANGELES (A) - Los Angeles (A)'s centerfielder Moises Alou will miss about 5 weeks after he hurt himself badly in the 6th inning of the game between Los Angeles (A) and Minnesota. He dove for a drive off the bat of Carlos Febles, and immediately signaled that he's not OK after hitting the ground. Los Angeles (A) wasted no time and rushed him to an hospital. Team officials were informed later that Alou had suffered a Fractured Ulna. His season features a batting average of .203 (12 hits in 59 AB), 3 doubles, no triples and no homeruns. Alou collected 5 RBI and 2 runs as well.
Thursday 4/21/2004: San Diego has no chance in a 2-hitter by Ryan Rupe

Rupe (2-3) showed excellent control, walking nobody and fanning 4. 'I had my stuff going. Everything I tried worked. What a day!' Cincinnati's rightfielder Magglio Ordonez got 3 hits in 5 AB, homering once, stroking a double, with three runs scored with 3 RBI. That was enough to support the brilliant performance of Rupe.
