Robb Nen pitched like a legend in May, and the American League named him Pitcher of the Month for his extraordinary performance. CHICAGO (N) - Chicago (N)'s second baseman Edgardo Alfonzo once again displayed his tremendous ability to make contact with that little white ball. He tore up Houston's pitching staff with a 6 hit performance on Thursday. Number 1 in the 1st inning, a shot estimated at 342 feet, cleared the wall in right field. His 2nd hit, a two-run homerun off Jeremy Hill in the 3rd inning, cleared the fence in left-center. His 3rd cleared the based, a three-run double off Jeremy Hill in the 4th inning. A single in the 5th off Billy Wagner accounted for his 4th hit. A single in the 6th off Billy Wagner accounted for his 5th hit. A RBI triple off Dave Maurer in the 8th inning, accounted for his 6th hit. That drive completed the cycle, causing a smile on his face! Edgardo did drive in 11 while scoring 4 runs on his own. He's having a very good season so far, batting .314. He becomes the 123rd player in league history collect at least a single, double, triple and a homerun in a single game.
