As per new rules, the bottom 6 teams will be placed into an NBA-style draft lottery.
The bottom 6 teams for the 2005 draft are:
1. MIL (23 wins) 2. PHI (30 wins) 3. TBR (37 wins) 4. SFG (41 wins) 5. NYN (42 wins) 6. TOR (51 wins)
Base combinations are:
1. MIL - 350 out of 1,000 2. PHI - 250 out of 1,000 3. TBR - 150 out of 1,000 4. SFG - 100 out of 1,000 5. NYN - 80 out of 1,000 6. TOR - 70 out of 1,000
Reductions: - win less than 30 - 100% reduction - MIL - win less than 40 - 75% reduction - PHI, TBR - win less than 50 - 50% reduction - SFG, NYN - win less than 60 - 25% reduction - TOR
- had #1 pick last season - 50% reduction - None, it was PIT last season - had #1 pick past 2 seasons - 100% reduction - None, it was PIT last season
Revised combinations are:
1. MIL - 0 out of 1,000 ... other 350 are unassigned 2. PHI - 63 out of 1,000 ... other 187 are unassigned 3. TBR - 38 out of 1,000 ... other 112 are unassigned 4. SFG - 50 out of 1,000 ... other 50 are unassigned 5. NYN - 40 out of 1,000 ... other 40 are unassigned 6. TOR - 53 out of 1,000 ... other 17 are unassigned
Disregarding unassigned combinations, percentage of #1 pick:
1. MIL - 0.0% 2. PHI - 25.8% 3. TBR - 15.6% 4. SFG - 20.5% 5. NYN - 16.4% 6. TOR - 21.7%
Fairly even chances for 2-6 teams.

congrats Milwaukee Braun is already guaranteed to them Perhaps, but instead of drafting him #1 outright, now the Brewers have to use reservation points and lose a third round pick just to have the rights to select Braun

I’m not a fan of the franchise rule. I hope it gets left behind when the league reboots.

Some point near modern day. An exact year will not be announced for obvious reasons. Probably 2-3 real life years?

Not a restart, this league will continue I believe, Chris is going to start a new league and let someone else take over this one. The new league will start quite a ways back in history I believe.

Wait. When we restart the new league, this means not every GM can come over because there were less teams back then, right?
