The only thing I can come up with is a higher level of uncertainty in outcomes if there's more waiver activity happening at any given time.

Were we also going to vote on the waiver trade deadline? Especially in regards to those players being eligible for the playoffs?

Then again, don't we limit in-season FA claims to one per day? I wonder why it's so much harder to remember that for waivers. Plan ahead...

I will do that one next; but I'm inclined to leaving it as is, but start to enforce the "must be on the active roster prior to 9/1 in order to be permitted to play in the playoffs" rule. |

That works for me. I'd also be fine moving the 9/1 date back a week. I just didn't like the idea of a guy not playing a single regular season game for a team, but being playoff eligible. That was my concern, but you've addressed that. Thanks. |
