Braves 6/23 This past week was slightly better than last week as the Braves went 4-2 on the week. It also brought back the beloved John Smoltz who got his first start since May 13th, getting the win for his 399th of his career. He is now just one win shy of the magic mountain 400 win feat. He should get a chance to get it at San Diego on the 27th. The two losses came at home versus the Pirates. McClellan and Maddux lost on back to back nights, and Maddux really stunk up the place, giving up 7 earned in six innings. After a horrible start to the year overall, the Team pitching is finally getting back to normal areas being second overall in ERA, first in lowest batting average allowed, and second in fewest runs allowed. Valverde picked up two more saves and now has 28 on the season which is a scant 3 more than Riviera for Minnesota that has 25. Both are on pace to easily have 50 for the season. The lineups are not scaring anyone, almost half way through the year and only two players are on pace to belt 30 plus homers. As a team the only highlights are they are tied for 6th most homers hit, and have the fourth most stolen bases. Easley has been moved back to the DH to see if that will spark his bat back to the way he was hitting last year. After having 30 plus last season, the fact he only has 10 so far this year is disappointing. Dear goodness there was so many shitty "hits" in 05. The number 12 Rock song of 2005
