Well gosh darn it Braves fans, that is back to back kinda shitty weeks. For only the third time this season, and on back to back weeks they went 4 – 3. Smoltz picked up his first loss, however Maddux got two wins and now is only eight games away from tying the all time win record for the league. You know what they say the night is our companion, while the highway is our home. On the way home.
How the team lost two games to the Giants will forever be a mystery this past week. I mean they say Jesus was a poor man, but would he have let the Giants win two? What is really troublesome is that Smoltz gave up 8 runs to the team that wont win 50 games this year. Has the Braves pitching staff turned to stone? Or heartache and misery, will it be the story come October.
