Well holy cow Braves fans, the Braves have opened up a 24 game lead in the NL East and now only have a 20 game magic number to another NL East pennant. Getting the pennant will just extend what is probably a never to be equaled feat. Just mathematically cant happen.
Atlanta is tied with the Dodgers for the Best record in baseball, because Atlanta has been playing the worst teams in baseball of late.
What is beyond amazing is the Atlanta top three starters are a combined 54 – 12, I mean come on, that is freakin redic! Maddux with his 18 – 6 record is just five wins shy of tying the all time record. He is just two wins shy of having his 15th 20 win season!
SS extraordinaire Archi picked up another dinger, and now needs 26 to reach the haloed ground of 400. This is quite impressive when you see he only has 6 seasons of over 30 homers.
