Braves 8/31
For the third week in a row, the Braves have been just going through the motions. Hopefully they can step up their game and actually show up and be the team they really are, and not the has beens they are playing like. Swept by the Cubs in Atlanta is completely unacceptable. In two of the games they did not even score a run. Not hitting the ball for average, not hitting the long ball anymore and not scoring runs, makes it neigh impossible to win games no matter how good the pitchers are pitching.
Along with the 0 -1 loss to the Cubs, Maddux did pick up a win, and now he is just 4 wins from the all time mark. Smoltz also notched a win and is 10 away from tying the mark.
No Movement for Archi on his quest to 400 dingers.
One hopes that the team starts getting their act together for the push to the post season.
