Yes, it's been 10 years. Wow. I remember once my wife and I got through the Great Recession and the hardest part of raising a child, our first no less, I would be able to carve out time for a hobby again. And 10 years later, I am in a new home, with a second child (after many losses for those who follow me or see my wife's posts on Facebook), still going strong. Obviously still busy as hell, but just enough time to run a league. Things have changed a lot, trying to streamline things, and it's not BBS-level active, but active enough to be meaningful. Thanks to all who stayed along for the ride, through all of its ups and downs, and I hope you will stay with me for another couple more years as I prep for another restart league in a couple years. (Those who know me know that I can't stand playing with fake players; so, once we catch up with real time, I'm giving up on HOFFBL but will be happy to hand it off to someone else to run it, though I would recommend a contraction).
And here are the rewards:
RATING INCREASES
- TWO (2) TIA: Free to get a potential rating up to Fair, Average or Good, but you must spend 50 points to get up to Brilliant and 75 points to get up to Brilliant in Hits. NO AGE LIMIT!
- THREE (3) TIB: Free to get a secondary rating up to D, C or B, but you must spend 25 points to get up to A and 50 points to get up to A in Speed / SP Duration.
- FOUR (4) TIC: Free to get a character rating increase for leadership, consistency and clutch or velocity.
- MUST SPEND ALL AT ONCE, cannot do piecemeal.
OR
300 POINTS to spend however you wish, but no spends to Brilliant and A, and no character increases.
You have until 2007 Opening Day Sim to complete, or we will do it for you.

This league brings me a lot of joy, a competitive outlet and a distraction from the monotony of everyday life.

I've been in many OOTP leagues over the last 10 years on all the OOTP versions and this is the only one I'm still in. Best league ever!

Also ... starting AFTER the 2007 Opening Day Sim, the max points limit will be 200 AND teams will no longer be allowed to go negative with their reward points. Those who are still negative at that time will simply not be allowed to spend until they are in the positive and have enough points to spend.
