La can get Kershaw no matter with or without the trade. Correct, this trade doesn't warrant the outrage. Basically giving up a second round pick to move up 4-6 picks? Makes sense for both of us. I passed on Chan Ho Park in 1994 to reserve Kershaw here. This cant be any surprise for anyone paying attention. Fun trivia: Did you know Clayton Kershaw and Matt Stafford grew up and played sports together...AS mentioned on every single Fox Telecast forever!  First post said FLA 1st, so it did deserve the outrage initially. all cleared up now...deal is fine. |

The guys that have dominated this league for years have always found ways to win that other GM's don't know about or don't want to take the time to use/manipulate. All legally, not taking shots here. |

Why wouldn’t I want to try to trade up and lower my costs. Either way I’m getting Kershaw(assuming he is still going to be good) Now with the new negative point total rule, this CLEARLY targeting teams teams that actually try to win with older veterans that HAVE to be fixed as they age. The other 90% of the league that continually tanks every 3-5 years just have to fix thier studs in the minors at a lower price point. The min and max points you can carry is going to have a ripple effect on the value of points:game cash. Adapt or Die with all the rule changes. I’m attempting to adapt. |

Either way I’m getting Kershaw(assuming he is still going to be good) Now with the new negative point total rule, this CLEARLY targeting teams teams that actually try to win with older veterans that HAVE to be fixed as they age. The other 90% of the league that continually tanks every 3-5 years just have to fix thier studs in the minors at a lower price point. The min and max points you can carry is going to have a ripple effect on the value of points:game cash. Adapt or Die with all the rule changes. I’m attempting to adapt. It’s tricky because veterans are going to become even LESS valuable than they are now. Had I known this was going to be implemented I would have thought longer and harder about giving Gordon a one year deal. Gordon alone is going to cost me 60+ points next season. I 100% agree with any and all changed for HOFFBL 2.0. It’s tough when things change on the fly. |
