In A blockbuster trade with Houston, Atlanta traded for the young stud, Bud Smith. Atlanta thinks the kid could be one of the next Cy Young winners to pitch in Atlanta. He has all the tools to get it done, and at age 26, he should be in a Braves uniform for the next 10 years at least. Atlanta moved all their picks for a couple years and two pitchers, which really helped them out in terms of their salary, and available FA money.
When Bud was asked about the trade, he stated “I had planned on being an Astro for life, but when a fucking cat is the GM, you expect some trades to happen.” He then went on to say “Good gosh almighty, I am stooked to go pitch with those legends, Smoltz and Maddux, I mean they are the greatest pitchers to ever pitch in HoFFBL. I mean SHIT, Smoltz has 8 Cy Young trophies.”
