Atlanta FA news part 2:
On top of signing Rupe, Atlanta was busy this off season bringing in severn other FAs. Free agent 3B Andujar Cedeno has signed to a contract of $700,420 per year, for 2 years. Cedeno fills a hole with a couple journeymen leaving in the off season. While 36, he still has a lively bat and some nice power. While not a great defender, he is still able to play the infield.
Then we have the announcement that free agent P Joel Adamson has signed a contract of $5,250,000 per year, for 3 years. At 34 it looks like the Skipper has him slated to either be #5 on the rotation or a long reliever.
Following Adamson free agent 1B Kevin Witt has signed to a contract of $570,420 per year, for 2 years. It seems like Kevin was brought in for some ST depth. His only way of getting on the ML roster this season is if Atlanta has a rash of injuries.
