Braves Spring Training, the Pitchers:
Well Braves fans as Opening Day is fast approaching, we will look at the likely candidates to be on the ML roster and what they will be doing. Without a doubt two of the greatest pitchers ever will make the opening rotation, Maddux and Smoltz, but after that what will we see?
The current money is on recent tradee, Bud Smith being inserted with the legends along with the FA acquisition Ryan Rupe. The fifth spot looks like it could go any of several ways, Nomo, Abbot or Adamson all could easily be a 15+ game winner.
In the bull pen it looks like we will again have the amazing young arms of Strickland, Hanrahan and Valverde. Almost sounds like a prestigious law firm! Valverde last season did what only a few others have done in league history and piled up over 50 saves. The two that lose out for SP#5 will join these three young studs in the bullpen.
