Time to see what it looks like in the AL after the first month of the season.
East
Baltimore finally seems to have put it together. Through the first month they are 17 – 9! The Yankees seem to have folded up tent and are heading for a rebuild. Boston made a little noise early, but have faded fast and at best look to be a 500 team. Tampa is looking to try and get a top five pick.
Central
While Minny is tied with Balt for the best record in the AL, Cleveland is the one making the noise in the Central. As they have been streaky, they are riding another six game win streak to tell the Tigers, that post season is not gonna just be handed to them. Detroit continues their success from last year, but is still third in the league. The WhiteSox are trading water around 500 and the Royals are not looking anything like the 90 to 100 win team this prognosticator pegged them to be.
West
Seattle, has resumed where they left off last season out west and looks to be on pace to easily win the West. Oakland is gonna be another 500 club, with Texas listing back to a top 10 draftee. No idea what is going on in Texas these days. The Angels fired their GM and now the ship has no captain to steer it home.
So far the preseason prognostications are living mainly up to what was billed, with the exception of Detroit trailing Cleveland. Will it continue?
