Braves 6/1
Holy cow Braves fans, the scheduling gods took favor with the Braves by giving them the tanking Marlins followed by the Washington team that has been in free fall after their lightning start to the season. The lone loss on the week was Maddux being the Hard Luck starter against the Senators in a game that he only gave up two runs in eight innings pitched, but the Braves lost 6 – 8 in 12 innings. Maddux, however got another win in his other start, taking the all time win total to 427.
Braves batters have continued to rebound from their completely shit show start of the season where they were batting .234 at the end of May, to have a team batting avg of .265 through June 9th.
John Smoltz has rejoined the rotation, and Jim Abbot has been injured again, leaving the original starting 5 with just three starters. Ryan Rupe will be healthy again soon though and the top four might once again be healthy soon!
