Pittsburgh : Albert Pujols has been signed to a contract extension, $20,000,000 per year, for 2 years.
After years of negotiating with the best player on the planet, Slugger Albert Pujols has come to terms and accepted a 2 year 40 million dollar deal to stay in Pittsburgh. Pujols stated to ESPN that he was excited to continue his career with the Pirates, and he couldn't imagine playing for any other team. Wouldn't just be ass backwards if you saw me wearing a Cardinal Uniform or something. I am here to stay in Pittsburg and I want to dominate in the MLB. We are in a dogfight in the NL Central and I am glad to put the contract negotiations behind me and I can focus on the next two years here.
Albert dominated last year slashing .353 .427 .635 1.063 to go with 40 home runs, 132 RBIS and scoring 143 times.
Albert is 26 years old and will look to build on his amazing career moving forward.
