HoFFBL AL June report
Baseball fans we are at the mid point of the season and here we are to see what is what, who is who, and where we all might end up.
First we’ll look at the AL All stars
P Brad Radke from Minnesota
P Paul Wagner from Seattle
P A.J. Burnett from Seattle
P Robb Nen from Minnesota
P Roy Halladay from Chicago (A)
P Livan Hernandez from Detroit
P Joel Pineiro from Seattle
P Jeff Zimmerman from Chicago (A)
P Eric Gagne from Oakland
P Mariano Rivera from Minnesota
C Bengie Molina from Detroit
C Vance Wilson from Cleveland
1B Miguel Cabrera from Detroit
2B Alfonso Soriano from Baltimore
3B Jason Giambi from Kansas City
SS Chipper Jones from Detroit
LF Phil Plantier from Baltimore
CF Matt Holliday from Seattle
RF Bernie F. Williams from Chicago (A)
1B Todd Hundley from Los Angeles (A)
DH Manny Ramirez from Minnesota
DH Mark Loretta from Detroit
CF Carl Everett from Texas
2B Derek Jeter from Minnesota
SS Edwin Encarnacion from Baltimore
8 of them came from the Division leaders, Twins, Oriels and Seattle, though only one was from Baltimore. Detroit is looking like the most probably Wild Card and added four more.
East
Over in the AL East, Baltimore is the only team above 500, and has an 8 game lead on the Sox. Outside of something unusual, this race is over, and the Oriels GM JAH can start buying some sparkling wine for the celebration. Cleveland after starting out pretty dang good has somehow submarined to the bottom.
Central
Minny is continuing their pawning of the league with a pace for 124 wins which would put them in stiking distance of the all time win total. Detroit is going to the playoffs too, holding the second best record in the AL behind the Twins.
West
Seattle is on the same pace as Detroit, and will easily win the West. The rest is the same as the AL East behind Baltimore
Looking Back on the preseason prognostication, it looks like the season is going exactly as predicted. Now that’s some prognosticating!
