East
Looking into the East, it finally looked like the Braves were hitting their stride, and then Smoltz went down again, and the Phillies hit a hot streak winning seven straight to take the lead back from the Braves. The East has had the most lead changes of any division in baseball this season with three teams having led it and four total lead changes. Unless Atlanta can right their pitching woes it looks like the preseason prognostication will hold.
Central
Dogfight city is back baby with 3 teams within 5 of first place, and anything goes. Chicago the early season fav to take the Central is three back of Pitt, but only two in front of Houston. The odds makers in Vegas are nervous that somehow the team once lead by a cat and had no chance at the postseason, might somehow break their bank if the Astros do make it to the party in October.
West
Arizona continues to dominate the west, but both Colorado and the Dodgers are having pretty dang good seasons and might end up challenging for the wild card from the NL.
