Having a week to play the Marlins and the Brewers is a fine way to have a good week. The best performance of the week was Ryan Rupe, who went two and oh with both games being complete game shut outs. The offense was so inspired by how dominating Rupe was that they decided to score 40 runs in support of him during his two starts. 23 versus the brewers and then 17 against the Marlins.
The week as a whole was a seven and one week. First they went three and one verse the Brew crew and then swept the marlins in all four games. The Braves outscored the Marlins 32 to 2 in the four game series.
And the news everyone has been waiting on, John Smoltz has been cleared to pitch and will take the mound Monday for his first game in forever to face the Mets. Finally next week the starters will be ready to go.
