It tied the ballgame at 4. A pitch from Akinori Otsuka in the 12th inning left his bat for a two-run homerun, landing 312 feet from home plate in right field. That one tied it at 6 runs apiece. PHILADELPHIA - Juan Gonzalez got a standing ovation from 55614 fans in Philadelphia, who witnessed his 2000th career hit. His best year so far was 2005 where he hit .281 with 40 homeruns and 136 RBI. 'I still remember my first hit. But the one today is something special. I'll definitely keep that ball!' His hit in the 9th inning was a double off Greg Jones.

The Player of the Week award in the American League goes to Detroit's Chipper Jones this time, as the shortstop displayed the best offensive perfomance in his league. After being examined by several specialists the diagnosis is clear: Torn Back Muscle. Opposing players hit .318 against Darren this season.
