Same. whatever time you save going through mlcs is more than made up for in time spent monitoring/enforcing this. only has to be done at the beginning of the season. after that it's pretty easy |

Punished for actually wanting have a minors system. Time to just switch to ootp6 or 7 that had a 40 man roster you have 12... doesn't really effect you for 1 season |

let's convert this into a poll, but it's not a yes or no to this idea, it will be a what do you want to do that prevents hoarding / deepens FA pool?
options are:
- Rule 5 Draft
- Release all guys 30 and older who are MLC at flip (and people can sign as many as they want afterwards)
- Cap to 10, 12, 15 or whatever number at flip (and people can sign as many as they want afterwards)
etc etc
looking for ideas

I'm actually good with the cap. I mean ya basically no minors system and ranked 30th out of 30th. So the cap would not affect you at all. Would actually benefit you and other teams who do this to thier minors. |

Would actually benefit you and other teams who do this to thier minors. Even when I have had the best minors in the league I have never maintained more than 5-10 gold-star players. I understand the need for some major-league depth and trade pieces, but 10 players should be plenty of space to get that done, imo. Thanks for chiming in though! |

I guess not.
Starting next season, there will be a max of 20 gold stars in minors (if you have less than 25 in active, then the difference will be added to the max of 20 in minors). This will be enforced immediately after file flip (to account for retirements). Then you are free to sign guys in off-season and in-season FA as per usual.
After going through some teams already with recent releases, most teams will not be affected by this at all. If you feel like you will be impacted, then start to think about releasing some of those scrubs now, so that I do not release a guy you actually like by accident during the seasonal purge (after WS/flip, before first post of new season).
