The Deacon has put in some very good seasons for me so far including a top 5 NL ERA last season and is clearly in his prime. I'd love to keep him here, but he wants more money than I may be able to afford giving him due to my current payroll and tiny market combo. Furthermore, Cuellar will be up next season and hopefully Ron Taylor will be ready too by then, so I'd have even more of a pitching glut and only so many spots for everyone to be put in.
I might end up making a bigger effort to extend Law, but gonna first see if there's any interest in him. I could swap him for a similarly valued major league pitcher if I feel there's a good fit here. Also like spects, picks and points. Hit me up if you're interested!
