Over the last couple weeks in HOFFBL, the Boston Red Sox have made noise. Moving Johan Santana to San Francisco for a package of prospects headlined by Daniel Murphy, Boston shipped out most of that package plus some of it's own minor league talent within a week to net starting pitchers Jake Peavy and Tim Hudson, first baseman Paul Konerko and reigning MVP Johnny Damon, proven commodities for the Pittsburgh Pirates over the last year. Boston now sports both the reigning MVP and reigning ROTY between Damon and Pedroia, with Red Sox officials very excited to see Pedroia's sophomore campaign. Add to that FA signings Jim Edmonds and Miguel Batista, and the team looks drastically different than last year. Being able to add all these pieces while Keeping Carlos Zambrano, Jimmy Rollins, and Rafael Betancourt in the fold make the team look to improve on it's 83 win campaign last year by leaps and bounds.
