Braves Baseball 07 Opening day version!
Holy cow baseball fans, in what seemed like the shortest offseason ever passing by, here we are covering the opening two weeks of Braves baseball. Smoltz went out and won the first game of the season and on the 15th Maddux took the ball in hand and pitched a complete game shutout for his first win on the season. The win gives him 437 all time, and was his 82 career shutout. The twelve games in between were largely forgettable. Over all one and two vs the mets, one and three vs the Phillies, two and one vs the Senators, and two and one vs the Brew Crue. Oh and one and oh to start the series verse the reds.
Six of the games were decided by a run, and three went into extra innings. Even though only one starter has a ERA under four, the Braves are 5th in the league in lowest ERA
