Holy cow Braves fans, the Braves are back in first place in the NL east with one of the best records in Baseball! John Smoltz and Greg Maddux are pitching again like they want one more ring, as both have six wins on this young season to go with Bud Smiths league leading seven wins.
The batters are starting to show up again, and have raised the team average from .251 to .260 over the last week.
The watch is on to see if Maddux can get to 4000 K’s before he retires in October. He needs 86 more and is really looking like an outside chance to get there, but maybe just maybe.
While John and Greg are doing well, they are way over their career ERAs but still are putting up better numbers than most pitchers in the league.
The young gun relievers are still doing a phenomenal job!
