With all the insanity going on as the NL Central race is HOT, it is time to take a moment to see what is going on with the Teenagers of Tomorrow. The minor leagues continue to be a good sim and then a talent hit sim as the OOTP gods continue to give and take away.
ML
Billy Butler got hot in May, hitting over .400 for a lot of the month. Dontrelle Willis has contributed 2 solid starts at crucial moments for the ML club to keep them hanging around the division leaders.
This sim saw Matt Capps take a little bit of a talent hit but should be reversed immediately. Britton had his talent hit reversed and continues to anchor the bullpen in AAA. SP Kronke continues to slowly develop and still appears to be a year or two away. MR Barnette continues to struggle with his command allowing 60 H/BB through just under 33 innings.
AA
This is where the excitement has been since the May report. Julio Teheran shows why he was the teams first 1st round pick in the last draft. He received an increase in avoiding walks after his, now famous, Savannah Bananas training session. At 16, he is still growing into being a professional pitcher, but the future is bright. Rupp and Arcia both took little talent bumps during May but were corrected for a small price. If one looks at the reward point totals and the pending articles, one has to think that there will be some improvements made at the AA level soon. Hopefully, Chris feels better because he is behind on a lot of reading.... and because he is a cool dude. Get well soon.
