Braves 6/8
Holy cow Brave fans, the Braves had a heck of a week going six and one on the week. On closer inspection, after they beat Washington for the first game of the week, the fact they dropped one to the Central dwelling Reds, was quite disappointing that they had the one loss.
When we look at the game, both teams had eleven hits and one walk. The fact that it was only 3-2 is a little surprising. Both were epically bad at stranding runners. Smoltz picked up the loss because he wasn’t perfect. They rounded out the week with two wins verse the Reds.
In between the Reds and the Senators, they swept the Brewers, a team that has the third fewest wins in the NL, too account for their six and one week.
Thankfully the Braves had a very easy schedule as the Phillies also went 6-1 on the week.
