Braves 6/18
Following up on last weeks six and one record, the Braves recovered from a slow start of three and two to finish six and two on the week. While the week started with a game vs the Reds and woeful Marlins, it finished with four games versus the Cubs and Cards. Thankfully as the Phillies continued their red hot streak and went 7 - 1.
Against the Marlins, again had an unusual game, RA Dickey made his first start since the beginning of April, gave up three runs, and Hanaran came in to keep it close, and promptly gave up his first two runs of the season. Previously he had appeared in 14 games without giving up a single run, what a run that was.
In the NL Atlanta has the top three spots for wins by a pitcher, Smith with 13, the immortal Maddux with 11, and the Ryan Rupe coming in at third with 10. When you look at the Braves top 4 guns they are 43 – 14 on the season.
