Braves 7/30
After a disastrous previous week, the Braves limped into the trading deadline hoping to turn it around. Alas that was not what was waiting for them. The fell flat on their face including a humiliating loss to the hapless Mets.
The Three games started with a two to four loss to the DBacks, closing that series out with three losses and only one win for the Braves. The Zona game, Ryan Rupe took it on the chin, and got only his third loss on the season. He was out dueled by Lara from the DBacks who picked up his 15th win and is sporting a 1.89 ERA.
The following night, Maddux’s Cinderella season came to a screeching halt where he got pounded for 8 runs in six innings.
Finally the Braves picked up a win against the Mets to close out the misery, however it took 11 innings to do so. Valverde worked 2 innings to pick up his 7th win of the season.
